Synesthesia is also known as the “mingling of the senses” — where you can see sounds, or hear colors, or taste shapes, among other manifestations. We want to spend a day with a synesthete to get a sense of how their extra perceptual ability affects them. We are then going to recreate that experience with 3D animation. We will be shooting with a new 3D camera. The result will be a two-minute piece that will show the world exactly what it’s like to be a synesthete. - Elmdale House Tavern JULY 15 9:00 p.m. KILMORE PLACE AND THIS IS FRANCO w/opening act THE SONIC DEFENSE ($5 cover) KILMORE PLACE got together in late 2006, releasing their first five song self-titled EP in early 2008. The past year, the band shared the stage with Econoline Crush in Vancouver. THIS IS FRANCO have been praised by critics and gained legions of new fans opening up for established musical artists such as 54-40 and Econoline Crush. In their short 2 years together, they have released two CD's, toured and gained a strong fan base around South Western Canada. THE SONIC DEFENSE has been recording their first album with the help of Andrew Brittain and Mardshark Audio. The album will be called, "Upside of Down" the title taken (with permission) from a book by Thomas Homer Dixon. The album will be ten tracks, two of which, Moonbeam and Covered in Snow are on our Myspace page. Now for the fun part! Get ready for it: VINYL!!
