  • Dirty Little Secret is seeking an experienced keyboard player to join our working blues rock band. We are looking for someone youthful and energetic in spirit (we are in our 30's), with a love of vintage keys, to join our blues-rock and funky pop band (largely covers with some originals, and an intent to continue with writing originals). If you can sing and/or play guitar, even better. A positive attitude and the ability to check your ego at the door is a must. Good gear, transportation, and the ability to come to rehearsal prepared are must haves. The band is currently a four piece (guitar, drums, bass, Vox) and looking to replace our good friend and long time keyboard player who had to step down due to work commitments. Our tunes are arranged for a five piece band. More info can be found at dirtylittlesecretband.com or on FaceBook at dirtylittlesecretband. We are well established in the area and gig on a monthly basis, and rehearse weekly basis (Wednesday evenings). We are all very professional, seasoned musicians, and while this is not our day job it is our passion, and treat it so. If you are interested please send a short bio, experience, and influences to:

  • Well established band 1993 (#33 in local charts) has a 2nd album on hold in the studio. We are seeking a bassist who can help us re-establish our live show as well as help to write new material. This is not a hire; we want a partner to jam with. Too often we have tire kickers or people not wanting to get their feet wet: so if this attitude is pervasive and you have the solution, give us a shout. Currently the band is Ryan Conway on Rhythm Guitar/Vocals, and Adam Kennedy on Drums/Bass/Guitar. We need another member, to be blunt. Bring some beers, a good attitude and an ability to learn quickly and we will once again burn up the stage. Singers also welcome. 613-852-8821

Ideally we'd like someone with live experience since we plan on gigging once in a while in the not-so-distant future. We're starting things off with some 90's rock covers (STP, RHCP, Radiohead). Vocalist also writes his own music, so we'll likely tinker on those too when we get comfertable jamming together. Jams are in Hull (day/time/frequency yet to be determied), PA on site, if you have wheels you're more than welcome to cart over your amp. We're in our 30's & 40's and easy to work with, we just ask that you be dedicated and focused. Please e-mail for more info. Thanks!

  • Looking for pedal and/or lap steel guitar player for original band. We have been playing for over 1 year now but lead guitarist had to move out of town. We play a lot of original material, which is a blend of folk, old country, and blues influences. We also play covers in those same genres. A pedal or lap steel would be an amazing addition to our music. Definitely gigging is in the near future and hopefully recording an album too. Please email if interested."

  • Seeking an experienced Lead Singer and Drummer with vocal ability to complete lineup, who will devote themselves to at least one practice a week and at least one gig a month in or outside Ottawa. The musical genre played is Hard Rock. I like a clean distortion. The musical bands of interest are Rush, Led Zeppelin, Boston for the guitar sound, effects and multi vocal tracks and my favourite guitarist Jimi Hendrix plus many more. My concept is to play covers of the above bands yet devote most of the time and energy towards creating Original music. I have found that I can not do this as well without YOU a band. It needs to be a collaboration. We will begin with regular practice at SoundCheck studios in Ottawa, corner of Kirkwood/Carling once a week and take the material into an Ottawa studio to record. Note: I am not interested in any other genre other than Hard Rock but wish to keep the boundaries within a Blues, Folk, Classical, Rock, Classic Rock what ever you want to call it style. It will be a fun and positive experience where all will be able to contribute. Thanks and looking forward to hearing. Here are some links to some past gigs I have been involved with recently: vimeo.com -- soundcloud.come Can't You See - Fritos Bandidos, recorded July 6, 2014 at Audio Valley Recording Studios. Engineered and Produced by Steve Foley and Dick Cooper. I sang backup, rhythm and lead guitar.

  • We are a classic rock band looking for a new rhythm guitarist. Ideally, we would like to have a guitarist who can sing, at least back up vocals. Some lead vocal work is a bonus. The guitarist need not be proficient playing lead guitar, as I do most of that, but willing to share that duty with the right player. We are 50 something’s who practice weekly and gig out occasionally (6 -10 times a year). We are all proficient in our playing abilities and looking for same. We also play more current music, which we can discuss later. Check out my Bandmix site and key in or search ‘Guy Berthiaume’. There you will find a few videos of live performances and some audio trax of the Buzz Band. I also have sample set lists to share that give a broader idea of what we like to play. Our rehearsal space is located in the Canotek Park area, which is Hwy 174 and Montreal Rd. Contact Guy at guy
