phunkdj@hotmail.com - Ottawa-based band's One More Me and Lovenbodyparts are pleased to announce, in partnership with local venue Café Dekcuf, an upcoming, official "Movember" fundraiser on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Café Dekcuf (221 Rideau St. at Cumberland). All of the proceeds from the door will be donated and work towards furthering the research on prostate cancer. The aim of Movember, the month formerly known as November, is to raise funds for mens' health issues - especially prostate cancer. Participants, or "Mo Bros", begin on the moustache-growing journey at the beginning of the month and, along the way, raise awareness and collect donations for research which furthers the education, treatment and prevention of various mens' health issues. In addition to the fundraising event, One|More|Me will be releasing their self-titled debut album, which will be available at the show. One|More|Me, seemingly a love-child of Radiohead and Smashing Pumpkins, with a wave of lovesick Interpol thrown in, layers dirty synths and guitars over a pulsing foundation of bass and drums. The night's line-up will also include Ottawa's original rocktronica headlining act, Lovenbodyparts and 4-piece alternative rock band, Brave the Third. ca.movember.com --
