  • SUSSEX - Ottawa’s Premiere Cover Band Due to an unfortunate incident while trying to (unsuccessfully) convince us to play Rush songs, our drummer spontaneously combusted leaving behind only a small pile of green goo on his drum stool. SUSSEX is a very FUN vocal-heavy cover band that plays everything from Zepplin to P!nk, Foo Fighters to Bruno Mars, Journey to Taylor Swift - we have a BLAST doing it. We work very hard, do our homework and come to our practices prepared. We rehearse bi-weekly, and gig regularly headlining places like the Brass Monkey, Greenfields, John Street Pub in Arnprior, or even just having a fun night with other bands at the Mill in Manotick, We are currently gearing up towards the summer/fall festival season. We’re looking for a truly excellent drummer who is easy to get along with, does their homework, knows how to please a crowd and sits in the pocket, and is ready to learn our repertoire quickly so we can keep up with our gigging schedule. • Gigging cover band (90's,00's tunes) looking for a permanent bassist. Age group mid-20's - late 30's, able to play various genres (rock, punk, funk) and quickly pick up a setlist of ~35+ songs (your first show would be May 29th at D'Arcy McGees in Orleans, so there's a lot of homework to do). The rest of the band are all accomplished musicians who take our craft seriously, and we're booking decent-paying gigs. We rehearse Wednesday evenings, and we're aiming to be busy this summer (2-3 shows/month maybe more), so if you're going to Europe for a month in July - probably not the person we're looking for :) If you're interested, shoot me a message and we'll go from there.

  • Amateur Bass Player -Cover Band Hoping there is a bass player in mid 30 or older (sorry felt I should put age parameters) that would like to join a cover band that started out not ot long ago and lost a bassist due to work commitments. We are playing rock country folk from 70s and up. Ideally the bassist is open to songs and will try them beyond "that sucks I hate playing anything from them". We are interested in playing out and entertaining the audience to best of our abilities with music we know .... meaning attitude and stage presence is better than you playing just like Entwhistle. .. rest his soul. ... we are several guys and female singer ... so any female bassists would be absolutely welcome. Contact for additional details.
