  • BASS PLAYER WANTED Established touring/recording band looking for full time seasoned bassist. We tour Ontario/Quebec as well as North Eastern USA so PASSPORT and clean criminal record is necessary. Styles include Sublime, Dirty Heads, Black Crowes, City and Colour, and pretty much anything else that tickles our fancy. The majority of our shows are on the weekends but there are times when we have to travel during the week. Lots of notice will be given so if you have a flexible job schedule, there shouldn`t be any problems. Current shows lined up include Mardi Gras in Burlington Vermont, Whiteface Mountain Lake Placid NY, Plattsburgh NY, Watertown NY as well as club and festival dates around ontario. Dates are as far out as August so lots of notice. That should cover it. It goes without saying that serious inquires need only apply. Below is a link to one of our videos which should give you an idea what we are about .... youtu.be Thanks Sean -

  • WANTED ALIVE: KEYBOARD PLAYER WITH LEAD SINGING ABILITIES The planets have aligned and after traveling from a distant galaxy light years away, we have been revived from suspended animation in Ottawa (why here?) to reform “THE EVERLASTIN’ YEAHS” (copyright), a gigging 60's cover band. Were you there but REMEMBER EVERYTHING? Well, we remember everything, are younger than that now and are looking for a kindred spirit in the form of A LEAD SINGING KEYBOARD PLAYER. We have just had our first session and are presently comprised of a lead singer, a lead singer/rhythm guitarist, a lead guitarist, a bassist and a drummer. Hello, please post this ad. Thanks! Are you easy going, gracious about the gift of music, tend to have a creative rather than a literal approach, know the sound of one hand clapping, and yet refuse to say “groovy”? Your musical ability is important but so is getting along with the other players, and being committed. If this paragraph strikes a chord with you then you've come to the right place! We'd like to do one hit wonder garage songs, tunes from the "Ottawa Rocks" compilation, Kinks, Buffalo Springfield, Moby Grape, Byrds, early Rolling Stones, pre "Tommy" Who, Doors, Animals, Rascals, Yardbirds, Vanilla Fudge, Ugly Ducklings, Shadows of Knight, Paul Revere & the Raiders (eh!?), Lovin' Spoonful etc., maybe some R & B (Howlin’ Wolf, Little Walter etc.) .... and any 60’s songs you want to try. We are open! Let’s put it four wheel low and get off THE BEATEN TRACK while we still can! We'll practice once every two weeks, on Saturdays and you will have to share the cost of practice space at $14.00 for four hours. Please, no BIG EGOS (that means you, Arnold). We want this to work and have fun doing it! Contact Brian and tell us about yourself! Thanks!

We are looking for someone youthful and energetic in spirit (we are in our 30's), with a love of vintage keys, to join our blues-rock and funky pop band (largely covers with some originals, and an intent to continue with writing originals). We are a high energy cover band with a unique twist in that we like to keep at least 30% of our music dedicated to Canadian artists such as Trooper, Loverboy, The Trews, Bryan Adams, April Wine and Colin James to name a few. We have rehearsal space at Soundcheck Studios and practice Monday evenings. If you are interested and dedicated, and can commit to practice at least once a week, we would love to hear from you. We are 40+ years of age and all have full-time jobs so this is our hobby and want to have fun (and maybe make enough money to buy new strings – lol) You can check out our site at: sixpointsnorth.ca If you are interested, please contact Six at
